Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy.
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.
Amen.

ame.sweet, thanks again for the visit. I am not really sure where that prayer originated. However, prayers are always meant to inspire believers. In our contemplative moments we tend to be able to sing praises and pray from the goodness of our hearts as inspired by the Holy Spirit. Prayers that are written or verbally expressed otherwise are always accepted by the Lord as long as you mean the real sense of it. God bless!
