The True Meaning of Jihad

If you have any opinion regarding this, please feel free to comment...We all need to learn about "TRUTH".

The true meaning of Jihad
by Rick Mathes

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the
United States, especially in the minority races!!!

Allah or Jesus?

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for
maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training
session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman
Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their
belief systems.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The
Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a
video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and
answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:

"Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and
clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the
infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a
command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's
the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he
replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of
Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so
they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The _expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to
that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the
cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope
John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr.
Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!"

The Imam was speechless.

I continued, "I also have a problem with being your friend when you and
your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask
you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me
in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I
am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification'
training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the
Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs.

I think everyone in the US should be required to read this, but with the
liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this
will be widely publicized. Please pass this on to all your e-mail
contacts.

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well known leader
in prison ministry.

"The purpose of jihad ... is not directly to spread the Islamic faith but to extend sovereign Muslim power (faith, of course, often follows the flag). Jihad is thus unabashedly offensive in nature, with the eventual goal of achieving Muslim dominion over the entire globe.

"Jihad (has) two variant meanings ... one more radical, one less so. The first holds that Muslims who interpret their faith differently are infidels and therefore legitimate targets of jihad. (This is why Algerians, Egyptians and Afghans have found themselves, like Americans and Israelis, so often the victims of jihadist aggression.) The second meaning, associated with mystics, rejects the legal definition of jihad as armed conflict and tells Muslims to withdraw from the worldly concerns to achieve spiritual depth."

I'm not a scholar of Islam, but I don't need to be one to despair at how racist and violent the recognized "hardcore" Islamic leaders are (were): Mullah Omar, Bin Laden, Khomeini, Arafat, etc. After all, these are the pople who call on their youth to strap their bodies full of explosives and hurl themselves at those they consider infidels. Which is, well, everybody.

Thank you for a great feedback...It is really nice to hear from people with good views like you. It is somehow enlightening to know what is really behind other religions and their beliefs!

i am a muslim. i do not believe that killing people just because they are non-believers would assure me a place in heaven/paradise. islam is one of the most misunderstood religions in the world because people tend to look at the actions of the 'extremist' minority. i grew up knowing that islam propagates peace and does not allow killing of people (especially innocent ones).

i am not very knowledgeable, but i can say that that imam didn't know much because if he did, he could hve stood his ground or something.

misunderstanding results from people who keep their ears and eyes closed to certain things and refuse to view things in a way different from the way they view things.

please visit www.bangsamoro.com. it's a website maintained by young filipino muslims. there, you will see that we, basically, are all the same.:)

assalaamu alaikum. (peace be with you.)

oh, and from what i know, there are two kinds of jihad. primary and secondary jihad. primary jihad (which is the more important one) is one's personal jihad, i.e. one's struggle against the evil within. it is basically the struggle to be the best muslim one can be.

secondary jihad is the jihad that people (especially non-muslims) commonly know. this kind of jihad cannot be declred just because one feels like it or just because one doesn't like some people or something like that. there are conditions to be considered.

Allah knows best.:)

Brilliant comment Babypink, I can only hope that thru this link, many will be enlightened that people can patch the difference thru proper communication. What good it is to show a man you're right if he is already dead. Let patience, tolerance, understanding proper communication be a channel to universal peace.
